If you haven't go Sunrise Over Sea, get that. It's an amazing album.

Bernard Fanning - Tea and Sympathy
Amy Winehouse - Back In Black
Dave Matthews - Some Devil
Paul Van Dyk - In Between
Opeth - Damnation (Yeah, Opeth do metal... but this is NOT a metal album. Acoustic, clean vocals, clean guitars, no double pedal)
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
The Wombats - Tales of Love, Loss and Desperation

All great albums, from a variety of genres. In my opinion, of course.

You've probably cashed your card by now but for some valuable history and cool grooves try Booker T and the MG's Greatest Hits or the Funk Brothers.  With $40 you could buy both.  

Booker T was the backing band for all the black artists in Memphis like Otis Redding, Sam and Dave etc.  

The Funk Brothers were the backing band for all the Motown artists: Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight etc.

It's a lesson in how to play a strong groove.
